Harris is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Specialist to ensure the highest standards of quality for our products through rigorous audits, inspections, and quality data reviews. The role involves coordinating quality activities with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other functions to implement Quality Control requirements, including adherence to AS9100 and ISO
9001 quality systems. The candidate will identify, record, review, and manage the disposition of non-conforming materials from Manufacturing and review test procedures, detailed work instructions, engineering documentation, and drawings to ensure quality standards are met.
Essential Functions:
- Conducting audits and inspections and recommend corrective actions or improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate and provide guidance to assemblers and testers in their performance to our quality procedures and adherence to standards.
- Contribute to RCCA, MRB and non-conformance disposition efforts.
- Interfacing with program, engineering, manufacturing and quality management.
- Support Packing and Shipping.
- Identify, write up and report on non-conformances.
- Able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
- Able to obtain a certification in IPC workmanship standards such as ANSI-J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, WHMA-A-620 and Space addendums.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- 2-5 years' experience in Manufacturing Operations of electronic assemblies.
- Experience in development of manufacturing flow processes and developing inspection plans and inspection procedures, workmanship criteria.
- Experience with Part Specification;
Identification Marking, Packaging. - Experience with wiring harness specifications & requirements.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control techniques and statistics.
- Experience with auditing.
- Experience with Test specifications and equipment.
- 2-3 years of experience with Surface Mount Technology: printing, placement, and soldering processes.
- Proficient in reading specifications and Engineering documentation.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, preferably Aerospace and Defense.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Team oriented, able to work as part of a program team.
- Knowledgeable in MS Office tools:
Excel, PowerPoint. - Some experience in training or providing guidance to electronic assembly operators.
- Experience using SAP.
- Experience in Rack assemblies either inspection or assembly.
