The Manager, Vendor Oversight leads supplier performance, expediting, and oversight activities in support of the SMR-300 Pioneer 1 & 2 program. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and quality delivery of materials and services while driving a high-performing and reliable supply chain. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in supplier management, procurement leadership, and complex industrial or nuclear project execution, along with the ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and proactively manage vendor risks in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities Vendor Oversight Strategy & Leadership- Develop and implement a comprehensive vendor oversight strategy to ensure suppliers meet contractual schedule, quality, and performance requirements.
- Develop, lead, mentor, and manage a team of vendor oversight personnel, including expediters and on‑site residents, to support effective supplier execution.
- Define roles, responsibilities, performance expectations, and workload allocation for vendor oversight staff across multiple suppliers and project scopes.
- Establish standardized oversight processes, tools, and reporting methods to drive consistency, transparency, and accountability.
- Oversee supplier performance to ensure on‑time delivery of equipment, materials, and services in accordance with project schedules and critical path requirements.
- Ensure vendor schedules, manufacturing plans, and inspection/test milestones are understood, tracked, and aligned with project needs.
- Proactively identify and manage schedule risks, delays, or performance issues.
- Lead resolution of supplier delays with well‑developed recovery plans.
- Support supplier audits, surveillance activities, and regulatory inspections as required.
- Direct and oversee expediting activities for critical path and high-risk equipment, including both desk‑based and on‑site expediting.
- Validate supplier progress through direct engagement, objective evidence, and regular performance assessments.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and actionable reporting of supplier status, risks, and forecasted delivery dates.
- Lead coordination and resolution of supplier non‑conformances, deviations, and technical issues in collaboration with Engineering, QA/QC, and Procurement.
- Identify and resolve vendor conflicts, contractual issues, and performance concerns.
- Support cause analysis and corrective action development for supplier performance issues.
- Drive closure of open actions and ensure lessons learned are captured and communicated.
- Establish and maintain vendor performance metrics, dashboards, and management reports covering schedule adherence, quality performance, and risk status.
- Provide leadership‑level reporting on supplier performance trends, emerging risks, and mitigation effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance vendor oversight effectiveness, expediting efficiency, and supplier performance outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, including leadership experience on large‑scale industrial or EPC projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing procurement teams and complex sourcing activities.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier performance management.
- Experience with major equipment procurement (e.g., pressure vessels, pumps, valves, electrical systems, fabricated components).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Must be eligible to work under U.S. federal code 10 CFR 810.
- Must be able to travel (estimated at 10% - 25%).
- Experience supporting nuclear new build projects or working within NQA-1 quality programs.
- Familiarity with ASME codes, nuclear procurement specifications, and supplier quality.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or PMP.
