Job DescriptionProvide engineering support for testing activities, cost estimating, technical presentations, and documentation of engineering reports, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards. Provide support in the planning, performing, and documenting laboratory, field, and live fire test activities to meet program milestones.
- Perform cost estimating for the manufacture of both in‑house and externally manufactured prototype hardware or systems.
- Examine cost and schedule issues to establish a make or buy decision for the best prototype manufacture to the customer.
- Act as an expert in manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, forging, and casting.
- Leverage industry and partner agencies to establish cooperative research and development agreements to maximize resource coverage.
Pay: $150,000 – $180,000 annually.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day.
401(k) with up to 4% employer match.
Paid Time Off: 4 weeks (160 hours) per year, federal holidays, and sick leave.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- 15+ years’ experience supporting RDT&E projects in military systems.
- Ability to make complex technical presentations at national and international levels.
- Experience generating, reviewing, editing, and publishing engineering technical reports; compiling information and preparing/delivering briefings as needed.
- Maintain program consistency by updating schedules, minutes, action items, and program files.
- Perform root cause analysis and failure analysis to support engineering tests and malfunction investigations.
- Program Management Certification.
- Experience in providing support to DEVCOM AC Headquarters and its subordinate elements.
