Job Summary:
Electrical Printed Wiring Design Drafter
- Camden, NJ [About the Role] Join L3
Harris Communication Systems-East as an Electrical Printed Wiring Design Drafter and help shape secure, mission-critical communication solutions for global space, ground, air, and naval operations. Work onsite in Camden, NJ in a dynamic, growth-focused environment where your contributions are recognized and career development is supported. [Responsibilities] - Develop complex printed wiring board (PWB) and flex circuit designs for state-of-the-art products
- Place circuit card assembly parts and route components with precision for multi-layer SMT and BGA blind via digital/analog high-speed boards
- Prepare schematic/logic diagrams, fabrication and assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and detailed parts lists
- Create and manage electrical part geometries, symbols, and reusable parts library
- Ensure designs meet military and commercial PWB standards and IPC guidelines
- Collaborate within integrated development teams to deliver innovative and high-quality solutions [Required Skills and Experience] - Minimum 2 years' experience with Mentor Graphics Expedition and CES
- Proficient in managing reuse electrical part libraries
- Hands-on experience capturing part geometries and symbols
- Expertise in high-speed PWB and Flex Circuit design
- Familiarity with IPC standards for design/assembly
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Camden, NJ (5/40 schedule) - U.S. citizenship and active Secret security clearance [Preferred Skills] - HDI and sequentially laminated board layout and documentation
