A non-profit in the Camden area is looking to fill a position for an Associate Vice President for a direct hire position.

The position will be in the Finance Division

Program Specific Education Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a certification in a related field; commensurate experience in relevant field may be acceptable in lieu of degree.
Program Specific Years' Experience Requirements:
  • At least 8 years of progressive, program-related experience
Program Specific Years' Experience Preferred:
  • 10 years of progressive, program-related experience
Program Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Quality Requirements/OUTCOMES
  • Supports the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officers, AVP of Finance Contracts and Budgets, and Business Managers in the development of program financial projections and budgets.
  • Manages general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions.
  • Prepares detailed documentation of financial audits and assists auditors to complete timely and accurate audits.
  • Coordinates annual tax return preparation with auditors.
  • Assists the agency in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures including internal controls.
  • Prepares and develops operational budgets and assist managers and finance staff in implementing budgets within agency cost principles and policies.
  • Participates in and leads the department in agency software systems, report mechanisms to streamline accounting functions and regularly reports progress and processes to the Chief Financial Officer
  • Develops a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
  • Acts as an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the agency may enter.
  • Evaluates the Finance Department structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals.
  • Understands fiscal and employee regulations and ensures agency is in compliance
  • In consultation with other executive team members, reviews Requests for Proposals and determines whether agency should apply
  • Manages agency personnel deductions, benefit charge, and calculates agency fringe rate policies and implementation
  • Manages and reports on the agency bank accounts and keeps management abreast of any need for alterations
  • In collaboration with management and Business Manager manages loans, real estate fees and transactions to ensure fiscal viability and best practice fiscal controls for asset management. The salary range is 90-110k
