Role PurposeThe Finance Controller will lead and oversee all financial and accounting operations for the US entity/region. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance (US GAAP), effective internal controls, and providing financial insights to support business decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Ensure preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in accordance with US GAAP.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls (SOX, audit compliance).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain audit readiness and manage external/internal audits.
- Oversee end-to-end accounting functions:
- Accounts Payable / Receivable.
- Payroll and fixed assets.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and accounting treatment.
- Monitor liquidity, cash flow, and working capital.
- Optimize cash utilization across the business.
- Ensure timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns with the help of global taxation team.
- Coordinate with tax advisors and manage tax provisions, as necessary.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to business leaders.
- Support pricing, margin improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Drive improvements in ERP systems (Oracle).
- Strengthen financial processes and automation.
- Implement scalable controllership framework.
- Lead and develop US finance team.
- Manage performance, hiring, and capability building.
- Collaborate with global finance teams.
- CA / CPA (mandatory for US reporting roles preferred).
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting / Finance.
- 10–15+ years in finance/accounting.
- Strong experience in US GAAP reporting and compliance.
- Experience managing US entity accounting and audits.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and reporting requirements.
- Financial analysis and forecasting.
- Internal controls and audit management.
- Leadership and team management.
- ERP systems (Oracle/SAP/Net Suite).
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- High integrity and ownership mindset.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced global environment.
- Timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Audit outcomes (no major observations).
- Strength of internal controls.
