Overview

The Manager – Accounting is responsible for leading end-to-end accounting operations and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information across the US business. This role oversees all aspects of the financial close process, directs internal reporting delivery, maintains a strong control environment, and partners across Finance and Operations to support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily accounting activities, including general ledger oversight, reconciliations, accruals, and sub-ledger integrity.
  • Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes to deliver timely and accurate financial results.
  • Review, approve, and validate journal entries, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain a documented internal control framework and ensure compliance with USGAAP.
  • Coordinate audit requests and partner with external auditors.
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders (FP&A, Payroll, Finance Operations, Procurement, IT, Operations) to provide accounting guidance and support business initiatives.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, including automation, standardization, and system enhancements within ERP and reporting tools.
Key Deliverables
  • Month‑End Close: Account reconciliations, journal entry summaries, close variance analysis, USGAAP entries, balance sheet review decks, audit‑ready documentation, updated policies, internal control testing results, and standardized checklists.
  • Internal Reporting: Monthly internal reporting packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), variance explanations, trend analyses, KPI dashboards, executive commentary, SOPs, and audit support metrics.
  • Leadership &

    Collaboration:

    Team development plans, performance goals, competency assessments, training plans, process maps, ownership matrices, and monthly collaboration checkpoints.
  • Process & Systems Improvement: Documented process improvements, automation initiatives with measurable savings, ERP enhancement requirements, UAT results, rollout materials, SOPs, and operational KPIs such as close cycle time and reconciliation completion rates.
Skill Level Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of USGAAP and internal control frameworks.
  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to interpret large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., D365); experience with Black Line is beneficial.
  • Ability to lead and manage complex accounting processes, including financial close and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial review and validation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaboration across cross‑functional teams and stakeholder influence.
  • Process improvement mindset with experience in automation, standardization, and operational efficiency.
Other Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands‑on financial close and internal reporting.
  • Preferred CPA certification; public accounting experience a plus.
  • Experience designing dashboards or automated reporting (Power BI, Workiva, Tableau, or similar).
  • Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail, technology, or other operationally complex environments.
  • Experience with process automation, continuous improvement methodologies, or finance system transformations.
  • Experience with enterprise ERP systems and adaptability to new platforms.
Compensation

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 – $140,000, which includes a base salary and bonus. Compensation is dependent on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
