The Senior Finance Project Manager, is responsible for financial modeling, analysis, and execution of complex project financings. This role supports large-scale capital projects by developing bankable financial structures, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure projects are financially viable, compliant, and strategically aligned. The position requires strong expertise in project finance transactions, financial modeling, and risk assessment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Structuring & Execution

  • Lead the structuring and execution of project finance transactions, including debt, equity, tax equity (if applicable), and hybrid capital solutions.
  • Assist and support the review term sheets, financing agreements, credit agreements, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes with lenders, investors, legal advisors, technical consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support financial close activities and funding processes.

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Develop, maintain, and audit complex financial models to evaluate project feasibility, funding requirements, and return metrics (IRR, NPV, DSCR, etc.).
  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess financial and operational risks.
  • Evaluate capital structure alternatives and optimize cost of capital.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate financial, regulatory, contractual, and operational risks.
  • Ensure compliance with financing covenants and reporting requirements.
  • Support hedging strategies (interest rate, currency, commodity) as appropriate.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Development, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment on project economics and financing strategy.
  • Provide strategic financial insight during bid development and contract negotiations.
  • Mentor and manage junior finance team members, as applicable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in project finance, structured finance or corporate finance.
  • Demonstrated experience closing complex project finance transactions.
  • Experience in capital-intensive industries (e.g., energy, infrastructure, industrials, Advanced financial modeling expertise (Excel-based project finance models).
  • Strong understanding of debt structuring, covenant packages, and credit analysis.
  • Familiarity with project contracts (EPC, O&M, PPA/offtake agreements, concession agreements).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.
  • High level of strategic thinking and commercial acumen.

  • Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $140,000 - $160,000
