This job requires that the candidate adheres to departmental production, fulfills compliance with life, fire, hazardous waste, radiation safety, and infection control requirements. Maintains licensure, participates in CEU’s, performs ultrasound procedures, and participates in clinical and clerical activities.
Experience RequiredGeneral, Vascular, Portables experience. One year of experience preferred.
ARDMS EligibleInterviewers will consider ARDMS certification candidates.
Education RequirementsAssociate Degree or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Sonography school or program.
License/Certification RequirementsARDMS certification required within six months of hire date.
Eligibility For The Six-month Grace PeriodApplicants must have completed the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) exam; proof of passing SPI required.
Certification GoalExpected to acquire RVT certification within 12 months of hire date, with departmental extensions on a case‑by‑case basis depending on performance.
Training Expected- Elastography, thyroidectomies, pediatrics (echoencephalography, hips, spines).
- PVRs, TCDs, GYN exams, and all vascular exams (arterial and venous duplexes, dialysis grafts, extremity mappings, carotids, abdomen venous, etc).
BLS certification required.
