Responsible for working with special needs clients, as well as conducting intakes, family intakes, entering data collection information, and facilitating orientation and life skills sessions to residents. Assist Case Managers and/or Substance Abuse Counselors with some clerical-orientated duties.
Scope Of Duties:
- Administer orientation documentation to the client as needed.
- Schedule all medical appointments for identified clients.
- Assist Case Managers and/or Substance Abuse Counselors by entering core curriculum, treatment schedule, and tombstone data collection into the excel data capture system.
- Act as a liaison to Case Managers and/or Substance Abuse Counselors, schedule and facilitate case management meetings (non-clinical) with clients as required.
- Assist Case Managers and/or Substance Abuse Counselors in filing funding source documentation in resident files, and maintaining files to funding source standards.
- Identify and/or develop resources and link clients to needed services.
- Attend court hearings and/or parole hearings as subpoenaed or assigned.
- Conduct drug and alcohol screens as directed or needed and report results to Director or Manager.
- Participate in required internal/external Treatment Team meetings.
- Fulfill obligations of training agreements entered into for core curriculum programs.
- Complete all required reports and other documentation.
- Demonstrate competency in program related certifications.
- Maintain professional boundaries with all clients, staff and community members.
- Interact (verbally and non-verbally) with clients, staff, and community members professionally with respect and courtesy.
- Maintain client and staff confidentiality in compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and training sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Regularly required to lift and move up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
- Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while remain fixed on a given point.
High School or better.
ExperienceMinimum High School diploma or equivalent with one year experience with Volunteers of America or one year experience in a Human Services related field. Transferable experience is preferred.
Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to interact appropriately with clientele.
