Short Description- Complies with organizational and departmental policies, procedures, standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Creates a culture of performance improvement that contributes to providing safe, timely, effective, efficient equitable patient centered care.
- Prepares anesthesia stations in each Operating Room.
- Maintains necessary supplies for Anesthesia Department:
Requisition s stock supplies from Distribution Department. Orders anesthesia‑specific items via Purchasing Department - Maintain and clean anesthesia machines. Assist anesthesia provider with changing suctions, tubing, set‑up IV’s, etc., between cases.
- Enters daily direct patient anesthesia charges with electronic medical record and medication dispensing system.
- Communicates add‑on cases to anesthesiologist in charge in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates commitment to a Culture of Patient Safety and High Reliability through use of and promotion of high reliability principles and the NJ STRONG patient safety behaviors.
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
- Formal patient care technician or nursing assistant training desired.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- American Heart Association BLS
