Senior Systems Engineer

Salary Range: $ To $ Annually

Summary: The position of Senior System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the organization’s IT infrastructure both on‐premises and in the cloud to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available IT infrastructure in a hybrid virtual environment.
• Lead system architecture decisions, including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Plan and execute system upgrades including testing, migrations, and new technology deployments around tight maintenance windows.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies are in place and tested.
• Monitor systems performance, capacity, and reliability; troubleshoot and implement improvements proactively.
• Act as escalation point for complex technical issues for both IT and other business teams.
• Reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency through automation and standardization.
• Integrate systems and workflows across platforms and services.
• Support cloud adoption strategies, including hybrid environments and migrations.
• Optimize cloud costs, performance, and scalability.
• Work closely with IT leadership, developers, network engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Lead or participate in infrastructure‑related projects and initiatives.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior administrators and engineers.
• Contribute to long‑term IT strategy and roadmap planning.

• You will be responsible for following safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and using good safety judgment. You will be expected to report all unsafe activities and conditions to the Supervisor and/or Safety Representative.
