Primary RoleThe Principal Technologist – API & Integration is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions between SAP and non‑SAP systems using SAP Cloud Integration (CI). The role translates business requirements into technical specifications, configures adapters, develops integration flows (iFlows), troubleshoots issues, maintains documentation, and collaborates with functional, business analysis, and technical teams to support integration projects.
Key Accountabilities- Designing and implementing integration flows (iFlows) with SAP CI to connect SAP to Success Factors and other non‑SAP systems, configuring adapters such as SFTP, HTTP, SOAP, REST, OData, and JDBC.
- Handling message mappings, Groovy scripts, and XSLT transformations.
- Identifying and resolving integration issues.
- Working closely with functional resources, business analysts, and other technical teams to ensure successful integration delivery.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for integration solutions.
- Implementing error handling, logging, and monitoring strategies for integration scenarios.
- Keeping up to date with the latest trends and best practices in SAP, CI, and Success Factors integration technologies.
- Continuously improving patterns, practices, and operational efficiency within the team.
- Ensuring API and integration security capabilities align with and integrate with the broader hybrid cloud ecosystem.
- Strong hands‑on experience with SAP Cloud Integration (CI).
- Understanding of SAP Success Factors modules and data structures.
- Experience with logging solutions such as Splunk, Loggly, App Dynamics, Cloud Watch, or native IPaaS log and monitoring systems.
- Expertise in SAP APIM, AWS API Gateway, Apigee, Mule Soft, or a similar API management tool.
- Sound understanding of RESTful and SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS protocol usage, proxies, security concepts, and controls of public interfaces.
- Experience with SAP BTP Administration and SAP S/4
HANA is a plus. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.

- Proactive, persistent, flexible, and dependable work style.
- 10 years overall experience with Information Technology / Information Systems.
- 6–8 years functional / technical experience with custom‑developed applications or products.
- Familiarity with various software design and architectural patterns.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, accounting, business, or related field of engineering.
SAP BTP Certification is a plus.
