OverviewA leading SaaS company based in Morris County, NJ is seeking a local Dev Ops Engineer for an innovative, growth-oriented environment. This role involves designing and managing cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and supporting a high-ownership, collaborative team.
This role is local hybrid only (
* not open to relocation,
* not open to remote) and full time / direct hire.
Type:
Direct hire, Hybrid (must live locally already, not open for remote nor relo)
Schedule:
Regular day hours
- Develop and oversee scalable cloud environments utilizing AWS
, ensuring reliable application deployment. - Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize CI/CD automation pipelines and streamline release processes.
- Automate infrastructure setup and management through Infrastructure as Code / IaC practices.
- Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and maintain high availability for production services.
- Manage authentication, device, and endpoint security tools, providing IT support when needed.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in systems administration, Dev Ops, or infrastructure roles.
- Extensive AWS platform experience in a real production setting.
- Strong Linux knowledge
, including shell scripting, networking, and troubleshooting. - Proficiency with automation scripting and Infrastructure as Code / IaC
. - Experience with networking components such as VPCs, subnets, security groups, and DNS
.
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
- AWS certifications (Sys Ops, Solutions Architect, Security Specialty) are a plus but not required
