Our Client, a leader in the engineering sector, is actively seeking a full-time Sciences and Healthcare Director to spearhead critical projects in Camden County, NJ. This pivotal role offers a competitive base salary of $125,000-$150,000 per year

- Excellent in-person communication skills

- Professional Engineer (PE) certification
- 15+ years of progressive engineering and managerial experience in the US
- Experience in the management of a multi-disciplined team of MEP engineers and designers
- Knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection
- Proficient with the detailed design for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical/IT systems within the healthcare and life sciences fields
- Strong project management skills
- Knowledge of local, state, and national code requirements, specifically NFPA and Joint Meeting, FGI, and AHJ
- Experience in load analysis and energy modeling programs such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, and/or Carrier HAP
- Strong knowledge and utilization of AutoCAD and Revit
- Good time management, comfortable with frequent deadlines and transitions
- Excellent financial management skills and business acumen
- Excellent Microsoft Office abilities
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to plan and manage projects to achieve client demands and deadlines
- Ability to direct and manage the activities of internal and external resources
- Ability to manage and direct the workflow of others
- Ability to prioritize as well as multitask
- Ability to effectively train and mentor others
- Able to work collaboratively within the company as well as with the client
- Knowledge of the USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is a plus
Schedule:
This position offers a hybrid work schedule
, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, with flexible hours.
- Providing leadership and mentorship for your team.
- Overseeing the technical quality and QA/QC processes in the department.
- Supervising direct reports and assigned engineers on projects.
- Collaborating with management to schedule project deadlines and allocate manpower effectively.
- Developing and drafting bid proposals, contracts, and cost estimates.
- Offering engineering expertise and solutions for designs, specifications, and calculations.
- Managing projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budgets, adjusting resources when needed.
- Cultivating strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.
- Coordinating with other department directors to optimize departmental operations.
- Assisting the VP and President in hiring, training, and mentoring engineering staff.
- Conducting performance reviews and addressing any performance issues.
- Ensuring project accounting accuracy and compliance with protocols.
- Overseeing the department's budget and revenue forecasts.
- Supporting marketing initiatives related to your area of expertise.
