Job Description:

The Sr Mgr of Operations for the Integrated Systems & Encryption’s Camden location will serve as the Manufacturing Lead responsible for all strategic and daily execution of the operations function, including 80 touch labor personnel executing Shop Operations within the business. The businesses core is the assembly and test of complex electronic systems, assembly/test of circuit card assemblies, manufacture/dress of cables, and electronics assembly/test.

This individual will report directly to the IS&E Director.

Essential Functions:
  • Lead multi-disciplinary operation in manufacturing, quality, continuous improvement and EH&S
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet cost, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, EHS, and continuous improvement commitments
  • Develop a world‑class operations team through staffing, training, and talent management initiatives while serving as a role model for integrity, inclusion, and diversity
  • Drive employee engagement through:
    • Leader of standard work
    • Factory GEMBA walk process
    • Quality improvements and zero defect strategies
    • Comprehensive, proactive safety initiatives
    • Lean deployment
    • Mistake Proofing / Poke Yoke
    • 5S+1
    • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
    • Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
  • Maintain responsibility for succession planning, organizational and talent development
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Supply Chain, and other functional organizations across the Site
  • Responsible for monitoring, assessing, establishing plans to achieve, and presenting status of functional Strategic Goals and operational Metrics as approved by leadership
  • Lead the organization in the development and implementation of operating philosophies and business strategies
  • Develop, implement and sustain success metrics, incorporating best practices, and effectively communicating improvements
  • Effectively manage behavior, performance, and key deliverables across a matrix organization
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial goals
  • Oversee the allocation of resources, including human resources, equipment, and materials, to optimize operations
  • Ensure that strategic plans are executed efficiently, monitored, and adjusted as needed to meet goals
  • Provide leadership and direction to operational teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Ensure that employees are well‑trained and professional development opportunities are available
  • Address and resolve workplace conflicts and issues to maintain a high level of team morale and performance
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or similar field with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
