Groundskeeping Operations Supervisor
Block by Block is seeking to hire an Operations Supervisor to provide oversight of our Ambassador Team. The Operations Supervisor position is the "Lead Ambassador" in charge of all aspects of our program, including personnel management, equipment management and resource management, along with deployments of the team. We're looking for someone with strong leadership and customer service skills, executive-level budgeting skills, and most of all, a great work ethic.
Salary: $63 - $65K (weekly pay, pay day advance, free uniforms, great benefits)
Required Experiences/Skillset:
- 3-5 years prior managerial/supervisory experience
- Ability to drive and operate a pickup truck with a trailer hitched
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
Shift Specifics:
- Schedule flexibility encouraged to accommodate the needs of the team
Specific daily responsibilities of the Operations Supervisor may include:
- Coordinate recruitment and selection of candidates. Onboarding and training of all new Ambassadors. Create a culture that would make everyone want to join your team!
- Continual adjustments to the deployment of resources to match changing needs. This includes resources of the "human kind." Basically, redeploying according to daily needs.
- Continual problem identification and solving to improve the quality of the program. Problem solving is a very big part of what we do. (We need an innovator to lead our team.)
- Purchasing and inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Reporting outcomes through a variety of reporting channels (This means spreadsheets, Kronos, Timekeeping, Budgets...you get the idea.)
- Hands-on working manager in the field to provide coaching, mentoring, and continuous training on standard policies and procedures.

Physical Abilities:
Must have the physical capacity to walk continuously during an eight hour shift, with normal breaks (two fifteen minutes, and one thirty minute meal break). Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
Communication:
Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.
Computer
Skills:
Must be proficient in computer usage and in Microsoft Office products.
