Compounding Automation Operator

Location: Somerset, NJ

1st Shift Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $30 - $35 per hour depending on experience

Growing fragrance manufacturer is in need of a Compounding Automation Operator to join the team!

This individual will operate, troubleshoot and maintain the robotics compounding equipment to safely make a variety of fragrance compounds.

• Robot operation.
• Refilling Materials.
• Organizing Pots for the Robot.
• Troubleshooting Mechanical problems with the Robot.
• Safe start-up, operation and shutdown of robot unit/s, following established procedures.
• Be responsible for implementing basic troubleshooting procedures to identify deviations (errors) encountered during the start-up/shutdown phase and either implement or recommend corrective action.
• Communicate issues, risks and expected maintenance activities to immediate supervisor.
• Evaluate confirmed production batches for raw material issues /concerns based on FP, Stock Outs or Valve PM.
• Print and organize batches according to production plan.
• Plan each run based on production requirements relative to the master production schedule
• Perform routine preventive maintenance of equipment. Conduct daily and weekly robot maintenance following established procedures, including cleaning and checking the robot, turrets, stator, scales, clamps, truck, sensors, systems and printers.
• Check for nitrogen leaks throughout the dispensing network.
• Perform daily visual and odor checks on pots to be used.
• Maintain safety of the automation workspace. Identify and potential safety risks and report to production management immediately.
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong aptitude or skills to operate and troubleshoot mechanical and/or electronic equipment.
• Minimum 1 years of experience operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting automated manufacturing, dispensing, batching, filling, packaging, or material-handling equipment.
• Experience in fragrance or chemical industry a plus.
