Location: Camden, NJ
Job Type/Status: Full Time (Evenings and weekends required for community events, outreach, and benefits screening sessions.)
Salary: $45,000 to $50,000 per year
ResponsibilitiesThe Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and supporting outreach, engagement, and awareness activities for the Camden CAN (Comprehensive Access Network) initiative. This position plays a key role in connecting residents to benefits, resources, and community supports; strengthening partnerships; and ensuring that outreach strategies align with program goals. The Coordinator supports field staff, partners, and community ambassadors to increase access to services and elevate community voice.
- Conduct outreach and engagement activities to connect residents to benefits, services, and community resources.
- Support the planning and execution of community events, benefits screening sessions, and resource fairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation, data entry, and reporting in AWARDS and other systems.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, agencies, and stakeholders.
- Assist with the development of outreach materials, communication tools, and promotional content.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
- Uphold CFS Code of Ethics and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Represent CFS and Camden CAN in a professional and positive manner.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in community outreach, engagement, case management, or related human services work.
- Experience working with diverse populations and building community partnerships.
- Experience coordinating events, outreach campaigns, or community‑based programming.
- Experience with My Resource Pal.
- Experience in resource navigation.
- Current driver's license with a driving record of at least three years
- Vehicle with current insurance and registration
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions including heat, snow, rain and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
