The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of nursing care. The professional nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the appropriate delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team.

• Perform assessment of patients, leading to development, implementation, and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Participate in clinical decision‑making.
• Educate patients and family/responsible parties regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues.
• Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
• Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
• Identify and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Maintain professional and departmental level competencies.

• Experience:
  
  0‑1 year required; 2‑4 years preferred.
• Education:
  
  Associate’s degree required;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Training/Certification/Licensure:
  New Jersey RN license required; refer to the Nursing Administrative Manual for additional requirements.

Hourly rate: $46.39 – $64.45. Actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, internal equity, and market data.
