Position: Assistant Nurse Manager, ICU, Full-time Nights, VOLOL Camden

Location & Shift

Location:

Lourdes Health System – 1600 Haddon Ave.

Work shift:

3rd Shift (11:00 pm to 7:30 am) with some flexibility. Total weekly hours: 40.

Employment type:

Full‑time, on‑site, employee, regular classification.

Position Summary

Assists the Nurse Director/Manager in coordinating clinical and business activities within the VOLOL ICU, a medical‑surgical unit specializing in liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants. Aims to deliver optimal patient care in a cost‑effective manner, promote independent decision‑making, accountability, and a climate of effective performance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nurse Director/Manager with overall leadership responsibilities for the department.
  • Coach and counsel employees to maintain high performance standards and provide input into performance evaluations.
  • Delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff qualifications.
  • Maintain day‑to‑day operations, including bed flow, patient rounding, collaboration with other departments, chart checks, and clinical support.
  • Model behaviors that support customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate and promote fiscal responsibility.
  • Coordinate inventory consignment, purchasing contracts, billing processes/issues, and report generation.
  • Manage staff levels through unit staffing implementation and coordination for nursing care.
  • Monitor quality metrics and facilitate performance‑improvement activities by reviewing charts and coaching staff.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent clinical or cath‑lab experience.
  • Broad knowledge of nursing practice with ability to apply specific nursing intervention skills.
  • Competency in management and leadership skills.
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
Licensure & Certifications
  • Current NJ RN license.
  • BLS certification.
  • Additional certification required by specialty or regulatory agency.
Annual Salary

$98,700 – $158,398 (actual salary will vary by experience, equity, and market alignment).
