The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of nursing care. The professional nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the appropriate delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team.

• Perform patient assessment leading to development, implementation, and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Participate in clinical decision‑making.
• Educate patients and families regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues.
• Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
• Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
• Identify and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Maintain professional and departmental level competencies.

• Experience:
  
  0–1 year required; 2–4 years preferred.
• Education:
  
  Associate’s degree required;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Training/Certification/Licensure: NJ RN License; refer to the Nursing Administrative Manual for policy.

Hourly rate: $46.39 – $64.45. Actual rate will vary based on experience, internal equity, and market data.
