Registered Nurse - Coronary Care ICU

Overview

The Coronary Care Unit is a 12-bed cardiac intensive care unit. The CCU cares for complex cardiac critical care patients including structural heart (TAVR), pre-cardiac surgery, advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, and other critical cardiac disease processes. The CCU nurses receive specialized training to care for our critical care cardiac patients.

• Provide professional nursing care to a designated group of patients within a multidisciplinary health care team using the nursing process.
• Follows established policies and procedures.
• Communicate openly with internal customers and supervisors, and interface with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.
• Apply Cooper core values in daily practice.
• Other duties as required.

• A minimum of one year or more of acute care experience in an inpatient setting is preferred.

• Graduate of NLN-accredited School of Nursing

• Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers)
• Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS)
