Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of nursing care. The professional nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for appropriate delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team.

  12‑hour shifts, typically 3–12 hours on Saturdays/Sundays
• Shift Requirements: 72 hours in a 6‑week period

• Perform assessment of patients, leading to the development, implementation, and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Participate in clinical decision‑making.
• Educate patients and their families or responsible parties regarding disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues.
• Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and health care team.
• Participate in orientation, education, and development of the health care team.
• Identify and participate in performance‑improvement activities.
• Maintain professional and departmental competencies.

• Experience:
  
  0–1 years required; 2–4 years preferred.
• Education:
  
  Associate’s degree required;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NJ RN License.

Hourly rate: $61.19 per hour.
