American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NJ or Compact RN licensure and the ability to circulate and scrub for C-sections.
Details- Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
- Every other weekend required
- 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday coverage required
- Float required among five designated hospitals (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL) based on staffing needs
- Float to the High-Risk Obstetric Unit (HROB) as needed
- 1:2 patient ratio experience required, with potential to be pulled to facilities with higher volumes (up to 1:6)
- Uses Epic EMR
- Block scheduling not permitted
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required and in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required, with BLS not expiring within 30 days of assignment start
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Recent specialty experience within the last 12 months preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience circulating and scrubbing for C-sections required
- Must pass a dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing, completed on a PC (not compatible with iOS devices), with only 2 attempts allowed
- Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit
- Completion of pre-employment labs required within 48 hours of signing
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
- Responsibilities include labor and delivery management, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care
- Skills utilized include IV therapy, central line maintenance, EFM/IUPC monitoring, and administration of medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
- Scrubs are provided by the hospital
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; no RTO accepted after submission or during the first week of the assignment
- First-time travelers are accepted but not preferred
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the primary facility are subject to the local rate
- Orientation includes billable modules that vary by specialty and are tracked via transcripts
