Operating Room RN Opportunity
Seeking a skilled OR RN to provide specialized perioperative care in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves supporting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Administer preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
- Assist surgeons and operating room staff during procedures, adhering to sterile protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative needs promptly.
- Document surgical procedures and patient information accurately in electronic medical records.
- Adhere to facility policies regarding on-call and float requirements within scope.
- Participate in emergency response protocols during hurricane season if assigned.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active South Carolina RN license or Compact license prior to start.
- Possess 4+ years of recent operating room nursing experience.
- Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Demonstrate proficiency with electronic charting systems such as Epic.
- Able to work 4x10 hour day shifts, including weekends and on-call rotations.
- Must be willing to float between similar units or sister facilities as needed.
