Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Perioperative Nurse

Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and efficient workflow before, during, and after surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ health status and prepare them for surgery.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgical team.
• Maintain sterile field and assist surgeons with intraoperative procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any complications during surgery.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active South Carolina or Compact nursing license.
• Possess a minimum of 4 years of recent operating room nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
• Willing to float within scope and meet facility needs.
