Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver critical patient assessments, treatments, and interventions to stabilize and support patient health.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs upon arrival, ensuring timely intervention.
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency procedures according to protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to plan and execute care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding care processes, treatments, and follow-up instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current NJ RN license with active registration.
• Possess at least 3 years of ER nursing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a Level 1 trauma setting.
• Certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) at the time of submission.
• Maintain current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-pressure environments with high acuity patients.
