Short DescriptionThe Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for adesignated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

The
Surgical Care Unit (SCU),
Short Procedure Unit (SPU),
Same Day Surgery (SDS) and Pre-Admission Testing (PAT)are in Camden at the hospital on the second, third and fifth floors. First Pre-Admission Testing,locatedin 3
Cooper calls to review a patient’s health information prior to a surgical procedure. Once approval for the recommended surgical procedure isfinalizedand patient information isreviewedthe patient is provided with information on when and where to report.
Once arrived andregisteredthe patient is escorted to the appropriate location to be prepped for surgical procedure. These RN’s prep the patient for the procedure. They review medical history, medicalproceduresand place an IV. Patients are met by Anesthesia and their Surgeon. Once everything is reviewed andverifiedthe patient then goes to the OR.
- 1-year Critical Care Required (PACU preferred)
- Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing
Current NJ- RN License (Registered Nurse)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
