Short DescriptionThe Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator is responsible for assessing, developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for perioperative personnel to maintain competency, continuing education, and leadership development. The Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator functions as an instructor, coordinator and clinical resource to the staff and various OR locations within Cooper Heath System.
- Act as a clinical resource for perioperative personnel using evidence-based standards and professional guidelines
- Assess the environment to determine educational needs of patients and perioperative personnel
- Coordinates and instructs the Periop 101 Program at Cooper University Health Care
Cooper’s Voorhees and Moorestown Surgery Centers are hospital-run outpatient facilities that follow the same high clinical standards as Cooper’s main surgical facilities in Camden. Both centers provide streamlined, patient-focused care, guiding patients from pre-admission screening and pre-operative preparation through anesthesia, surgery, recovery in PACU, and discharge home the same day. The centers offer a variety of specialties, including general, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, vascular, interventional radiology, and other minimally invasive procedures.
Supported by skilled surgical teams and advanced technology, care is designed to reduce pain and complications, promote faster recovery, and help patients return to their normal activities sooner.
- Minimum of 3 years of OR experience; 1 year teaching preferred
- BSN Required; MSN preferred
- Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
- Four 10-hour shifts
