Responsibilities
- Interpret, effectively communicate, and execute Supply Quality strategies, road map, objectives, and programs with cross‑functional and supply‑base partners to drive continuous improvement.
- Bring a unique perspective to every discussion and deliver results in line with objectives.
- Apply Food Safety and Quality management expertise on materials and processes related to a wide range of ingredient and packaging categories.
- Write, interpret, communicate, train, and enforce Campbell’s policies, standards, procedures, and specifications; ensure Food Safety, regulatory, and quality standards management.
- Conduct supplier risk assessments, assign ratings, and perform supplier assessments and audits; oversee audits, specifications, nonconformances, supplier performance metrics, SIPs, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrate lead auditor skill set that includes audit planning, training auditors, performing audits, and effectively closing findings through successful supplier corrective action implementation.
- Use data analytics (Optiva, SAP, Rizepoint, Power BI, Tracegains) to drive improvement of assigned supplier categories.
- Effectively manage suppliers and material compliance delivered to plants and business using nonconformance data, audits, and performance metrics.
- Conduct Food Safety Quality Supplier Relationship Management, SIPs, and contract reviews to engage, score, and improve the supply base.
- Apply deep understanding of food industry regulation (FDA, USDA, CFIA) to manage compliance.
- Lead projects and manage multiple priorities through effective time management and delegation.
- Develop value‑added relationships with key suppliers and build internal and external partnerships to leverage best practices and technology.
- Assemble and lead a team of internal experts from appropriate functional groups to solve food safety or quality problems or deficiencies.
- Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Quality, Biology, Microbiology, Supply Chain or related technical discipline.
- 7+ years Food Safety and Quality experience; food manufacturing experience required.
- Strong knowledge of supplier management and experience in ingredients and packaging categories.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- General computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Nice to Have: Experience in food plants, as a food industry supplier, or manager of suppliers at a CPG.
- Certifications:
ASQ, auditing, HACCP, GFSI, PCQI, Food Safety and Quality Systems, Supplier Management, Project Management, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing. - Thorough knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Systems, quality auditing procedures, FDA and USDA Food Safety and Quality Regulations.
Target base salary range: $113,300 – $155,800 (dependent on work location and experience). Total pay may include other forms of compensation. Benefits begin on day one and include medical, dental, short and long‑term disability, AD&D, and life insurance.
