eBay is hiring a team of luxury handbag authenticators based in Moonachie, New Jersey. Candidates should have experience detecting counterfeits and knowledge of authenticity indicators. A multi-brand background is preferred, though brand specialists will also be considered.

Mon - Fri, 9AM - 6PM EST
1 Hour lunch, 1 15-min break

• Evaluate products from major fashion brands to ensure their authenticity
• Perform an inspection to confirm the item’s description and condition are consistent
• Report counterfeit items with succinct and specific findings
• Stay well-versed on current brand trends and developments
• Be comfortable in a fast-paced facility environment
• Achieve quality metrics and productivity goals daily
• Collaborate with colleagues to problem solve difficult authentication circumstances
• Participate in mandatory regular training and development programs
• Proactively communicate with managers about daily activities and obstacles
• Perform item quality checks along with authentication
• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment
• Assist with packing and receiving tasks as assigned by your manager
• Perform all other tasks as assigned

• You are a fashion expert with a strong sense of the category
• Analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to research and address concerns
• Flexibility in shifting category work-flows and evolving responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work autonomously
• Capacity to work on your feet for several hours and lift 30 lbs as needed
• Knowledge of standard operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, Slack, etc.

The base pay for this position may vary depending on location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include a target bonus and restricted stock units (if applicable), as well as a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off such as PTO and parental leave. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an at-will position and the company reserves the right to modify base salary or any other discretionary payment at any time.
