AboutThe Role
Poly Novo is searching for a Territory Sales Manager to join the Sales team. The successful candidate will promote Poly Novo Novosorb technologies in the advanced wound and burn space to maximize potential revenue and grow market share in the assigned geographic territory.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve the sales quota and surgical case mix requirements for assigned territory.
- Develop new business through competitive selling and maintain existing multi‑tiered customer relationships.
- Manage surgical case coverage, advising surgeons and staff before, during, and after surgery.
- Understand and manage local contract requirements to drive account penetration.
- Sell the clinical and economic value of Poly Novo and Novosorb technologies.
- Understand, communicate, and adjust to market dynamics, including local market intelligence, national competitor campaigns, and data gathered from Definitive Health.
- Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) with current information, case records, pipeline updates, and monthly activities.
- Drive and manage the VAC process with new accounts.
- Facilitate hospital in‑service with operating room (OR) and post‑op unit care teams.
- Manage the assigned budget.
- Engage corporate resources to meet objectives.
- Ensure efficient asset planning, deployment, and management.
- Provide market feedback/input to the Quality, Regulatory, and R&D teams through case report surveys.
- Participate in regional and national trade shows as requested.
- Organize local journal clubs, grand rounds, and peer‑to‑peer events as outlined in the business plan.
- Complete all administrative duties timely: expense reports, inventory reporting, forecasting, etc.
- Process all orders accurately – bill‑only and consignment accounts.
- Conduct post‑market surveillance customer surveys following surgical cases and dressing changes.
- Review the Zoho CRM dashboard to ensure all orders are accounted for and to review sales results.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with company team members and external stakeholders.
- Keep all documentation up to date, quality‑system compliant, and in order.
- Comply with all company quality standards, procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Operate within the quality system and ensure responsibilities align with applicable regulatory and quality processes.
- Travel as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, BMedSci, BSc (Life Sciences), or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical device sales role (Operating Room sales highly preferred).
- Scientific understanding of biotechnology.
- Ability to provide technical and sales training and support to new employees.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers, customers, and stakeholders.
- Proficient at using Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to take accountability for quality and timeliness of work outputs.
- Experience working autonomously and within a small team environment.
- High level of proactive problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain thorough reporting, documentation, and organization.
- Experience selling into complex acute wound markets highly preferred.
- Total compensation package: base salary, bonus, and incentive plans (including uncapped commission).
