EMR is seeking a reliable and experienced Security & Fire Officer to support our headquarters and operational sites across Camden, NJ. This role combines control room monitoring and active field patrols, offering a dynamic work environment that applies your security knowledge and acumen.

• Monitor alarms and respond to calls from security and fire monitoring systems
• Conduct vehicle and foot patrols at EMR headquarters and multiple sites throughout Camden, NJ
• Perform routine and random checks to ensure site safety, security, and fire prevention
• Monitor CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity or hazards
• Respond to incidents, assess situations, and escalate appropriately
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when needed
• Maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and daily activity
• Support overall site safety and security operations

• High school diploma or GED
• 2–5+ years of security experience (industrial, logistics, or yard environments a plus)
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong situational awareness and decision‑making skills
• Clear communication and report‑writing ability
• Comfortable using surveillance systems and basic technology

• Combination of indoor control room monitoring and outdoor patrols
• Regular patrols in all weather conditions (rain, heat, cold)
• Flexible rotating shift schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Required use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols
• May include light physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs, and lifting small items
