Police Officers - Union 8 - $32.04​/hr

The selected candidate will be eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus hire under the following conditions:

1. The selected candidate must pass all background checks (including any and all medical/drug, psychological testing and criminal background).

2. The initial $5,000 of the $10,000 signing bonus (taxable and all regular payroll taxes will be withheld) to be paid within one month from the date of hire;

3. The remaining $5,000 of the $10,000 signing bonus (taxable and all regular payroll taxes will be withheld) to be paid upon the successful completion of one year of employment at the DRPA.

4. The selected candidate must successfully complete the police academy training.

If the candidate does not successfully complete the police academy training, any signing bonus paid must be repaid to the DRPA and will not be eligible for the final $5,000 payment.

5. The candidate must remain employed with the DRPA for three years from the completion of the required police academy training, otherwise,the entire $10,000 signing bonus must be repaid to the DRPA at the time of separation.

In addition, if the selected candidate does not remain employed with the DRPA for three years from the completion of the required police academy training, the selected candidate must repay costs incurred by the DRPA for the candidate's attendance at the police academy.
