Lead Carpenter / Handyman (with Painting Support)

Full-time, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (with flexibility for extended hours as required)

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter/Handyman to join our team to support the repair division of our reputable paint company. This role primarily focuses on carpentry and general repair services, with occasional support on painting projects as needed. The ideal candidate will be versatile, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship that meets or exceeds client expectations.

• Perform carpentry tasks including framing, trim work, cabinetry, doors, windows, and general repairs.
• Handle handyman duties such as minor drywall repair, hardware installation, fixture replacement, and other home repair services.
• Support painting crews when additional labor is needed (prep work, cutting-in, rolling, or finish work).
• Follow job orders, project timelines, and quality standards set by the Project Manager.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on job sites.
• Operate company tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly.
• Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and clients when necessary.
• Track time and materials accurately for each job.
• Report daily progress for themselves & their crew to the Project Manager by 5:00 PM.

• Proven experience as a carpenter, handyman, or in a related skilled trade.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Basic knowledge of painting preparation and finishing techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Comfortable with climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Competitive hourly wage (based on experience starting at $21).
