Merrick Construction is seeking carpenters of all experience levels to join our team. We specialize in high-end custom homes, renovations, and additions throughout Monmouth County.

We are looking for dependable, skilled, and motivated individuals who take pride in their work and want to be part of a professional construction team. Opportunities are available for experienced carpenters, mid-level carpenters, and entry-level candidates who are eager to learn the trade.

Responsibilities will vary based on experience and may include:

• Perform minor framing, exterior trim, interior trim, cabinetry, and finish carpentry
• Install doors, windows, moldings, hardware, and architectural details
• Read and follow plans, sketches, and project specifications
• Assist with renovations, additions, and new home construction
• Protect finished surfaces and maintain clean, organized work areas
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members
• Identify and communicate job-site issues before they affect quality or schedule
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment
• Represent the company professionally while working in clients’ homes and neighborhoods

• Carpentry or residential construction experience is preferred, but not required for entry-level applicants
• Basic knowledge of construction tools, materials, and job-site safety
• Ability to accurately measure and perform basic construction math
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
• Ability to work on ladders and remain active throughout the workday
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and respect for high-end finished work
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
  
  Professional appearance and behavior
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

We are currently considering candidates at all levels:

• Entry-Level Carpenter: Some construction experience or a strong interest in learning the trade
• Carpenter: Ability to complete common carpentry tasks with limited supervision
• Lead Carpenter: Strong residential carpentry experience with the ability to run work, solve problems, and guide other team members

Pay and responsibilities will be based on experience, skill level, and ability.
