Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Plumber Apprentice to join our dynamic team. As an apprentice, you will assist with a variety of plumbing tasks under the supervision of experienced plumbers. This position is ideal for someone looking to learn and grow within the plumbing industry while gaining hands‑on experience. The apprentice will receive training on the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with Plumbing Installations:
Help install plumbing systems, pipes, fixtures, and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. - Maintenance & Repairs:
Assist in repairing and replacing broken pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment. - Blueprint Reading:
Learn to interpret plumbing blueprints and diagrams to understand job specifications. - Tools & Equipment:
Safely handle plumbing tools and equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance. - Customer Interaction:
Provide customer service under supervision, explaining plumbing issues and assisting with minor queries. - On-the-Job Training:
Participate in training sessions to learn about plumbing codes, safety standards, and best practices. - Workplace Safety:
Follow safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment on job sites. - General Site Maintenance:
Assist with site preparation, clean‑up, and organization of tools and materials.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy tools and materials, and work in tight or confined spaces. - Skills:
Basic mechanical skills, good hand‑eye coordination, and ability to work with a team. - Licensing/
Certifications:
(Optional) Ability to obtain any necessary plumbing certifications as required by local regulations. - Work Environment:
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and in diverse environments (e.g., construction sites, residential homes). - Previous
Experience:
Previous experience in construction, mechanical work, or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Interest in plumbing as a career and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and with a team of professionals.
