Job Type/Status: Full Time
Center For Family Services is seeking a full-time counselor to work in the Providing Adolescents with Second Opportunities (PASO) and the Family Link (FCIU) programs. The PASO program provides evaluation and counseling services to juveniles that have been charged with a sexual offense, or juveniles who have sexually‑reactive behaviors. The Family Link program serves families and youth ages 8-17 in Camden County through supporting them by providing short‑term counseling services and making service linkages to other community services and supports.
Services are provided in‑office and via telehealth. The agency offers training opportunities for all staff in relevant topic areas.
- Maintain a caseload of counseling cases in both the PASO and Family Link program
- Provide weekly/bi‑weekly individual counseling sessions with clients on caseload
- Conduct 2-3 weekly group sessions
- Provide case management services as needed
- Complete documentation and other reporting requirements
- Maintain contact with referral sources and provide progress updates
- Meet regularly with supervisor and participate in other continuing professional development opportunities.
- Assist Program Director in completing reports and reviewing weekly invoices and progress notes
- Complete file reviews and follow‑up calls for active and discharged clients
- Other related duties as required.
- Master’s degree required, in counseling, social work, or other related field.
- Compassionate, engaging, non‑judgmental, and detail‑oriented.
- Previous work experience with youth/adolescents and families preferred
- Ability to discuss topics and details related to reason for referral, sex education, and other topics regarding sexual health and appropriate sexual behavior
- Experience in crisis situations/crisis de‑escalation preferred
