Position: Student Support Specialist (5246)

Position Summary

Center For Family Services is seeking a full-time Student Support Specialist. The role involves collaborating with partners to provide comprehensive case management services, identifying barriers for students, and developing appropriate service plans.

Salary

$50,000 to $55,000 per year, plus a $500 sign‑on bonus upon hire.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide outreach to identified students and their families.
  • Conduct one‑on‑one interviews and assessments of prospective referrals; schedule intake appointments.
  • Develop and maintain individual service plans and records for students and families.
  • Review service plans and proactively connect students and families to available resources, assisting with application for assistance programs.
  • Provide one‑on‑one coaching and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with Camden Re‑Engagement Center staff to help students who have dis‑engaged or dropped out connect to alternative education pathways for diploma attainment.
  • Maintain professional growth through attendance at trainings and workshops.
  • Enter all documentation, including case notes and contacts, into the data system; examine trends in the community that may affect families, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in education, social services, or related field; relevant experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to multitask and meet deadlines under time pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience working with community partnerships and collaborations.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for working with youth facing adversity, including homelessness, poverty, and trauma.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and belief that young people can succeed.
