- Mission:
To build, scale, and maintain front-end test automation for React-based applications using Cypress with a BDD/Gherkin workflow. Integrate tests into CI/CD, reduce flakiness, and provide high-signal quality feedback for releases. - Primary focus:
React UI automation (E2E and component testing) with Cypress. - API testing:
Yes. Validate REST APIs consumed by the frontend using Cypress (cy.request) and/or Postman/MSW. Light contract testing is a plus.
Top Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Cypress automation for React apps (Type Script), covering E2E, integration, and component tests.
Must-have qualifications
- Strong experience testing React applications (SPAs or Next.js) and familiarity with common patterns (hooks, state management, routing).
- Proven BDD/Gherkin experience with Cypress cucumber preprocessor (e.g., @badeball/cypress-cucumber-preprocessor), writing clear feature files and maintainable step definitions.
