Job Overview
Position: CDL‑A Delivery Driver
Hours:
Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Dispatches typically begin between 12 am and 8 am, with most routes leaving between 4 am‑6 am.
Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 per year, paid by cases, miles, stops, and dispatch fee with a daily minimum. Includes a $2,000 sign‑on bonus (terms apply).
Position PurposeFood and food service delivery drivers play a critical role in the country's food supply chain. They ensure customers receive products on time and in good condition while building lasting relationships with customers.
Primary Responsibilities- Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally, answering questions accurately and promptly.
- Act as a team member within the department and organization as required, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.
- Perform all required safety checks (pre‑ and post‑trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required; immediately report safety hazards and inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight.
- Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices of loaded products.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly, attaching preloaded trailers as needed and driving to and delivering customer orders per the predetermined route schedule.
- Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and conduct damage‑control checks, scanning and contacting the supervisor for removal per company policy.
- Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures; collect money (cash or checks) where required, load customer returns onto the trailer, and secure trailer doors.
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured as required.
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns, then return them to the driver check‑in and complete necessary paperwork; remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete daily record of hours of service and record them in the log per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
- At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- High school diploma, GED, or state‑approved equivalent.
- 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
- Valid CDL‑A.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years.
- Pass post‑offer drug test.
- Pass criminal background check during post‑offer process.
- Pass road test.
- Valid current DOT Health Card and/or ability to secure a new DOT Health Card.
- Ability to hand‑lift and use a two‑wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift; product typically ranges from 10‑35 pounds, up to 60‑90 pounds depending on location.
