Job Description Summary

Needs Assessment and Performance Gap Analysis:
Conducts organizational needs assessments and performance gap analysis on an ongoing basis to determine training plans and knowledge management needs.

Measurement and Evaluation:
Provides ongoing evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of educational programs using Kirkpatrick's evaluation levels ensuring that learning outcomes and organizational outcomes are improved. Measures are benchmarked against best practice organizations. The following learning performance measures are evaluated ongoing:

  • Operational excellence with optimal return on investment. Learning is aligned with strategic initiatives.
  • Compliance with mandated regulations.
  • Time to competency is minimal.
  • Learning is effective and applied during work activities, consistently proving values to the organization.
  • Workforce development.

Instructional Design:
Designs learning considering adult learning principles, adult learning philosophies, learning styles, methodologies, and resources needed to obtain effective outcomes.

Training Delivery:
Conducts training obtaining effective outcomes. Mentors new educators.

Regulatory Requirements:
Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies are met through the provision of orientation sessions and the annual safety training required for all employees.

Minimum

Work Experience:

Minimal 3 years’ experience in hospital. Teaching experience preferred.

Minimum Education:

Nursing, BSN preferred. Must have knowledge of nursing principles, practices and systems.

Required Skills:

Current SC RN license. Current BCLS (within last 2 years). BCLS Instructor (can obtain within 6 months). ACLS or PALS Instructor depended on area of expertise. (can obtain within 6 months)

Required Licenses: [South Carolina, United States] Registered Nurses Current SC RN license. RN
