Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal‑directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process. The RN delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health‑care team to achieve desired outcomes.
Schedule & Compensation36 scheduled weekly hours composed of 3 twelve‑hour shifts per week (7 AM – 7 PM), every other weekend, rotating holidays.
- $30,000 sign‑on bonus available to new hires with experience.
Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA), Medical University of South Carolina.
Minimum Training & Education- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Registered Nurse license from the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors, working outdoors in temperature extremes, working from elevated areas, working in confined/cramped spaces, performing tasks from kneeling positions, bending at the waist, twisting at the waist, squatting, performing “pinching” operations, executing gross motor activities with fingers and hands, firm grasping, fine manipulation, reaching overhead, repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, fully utilizing both legs, using lower extremities for balance and coordination, reaching in all directions, lifting and carrying 50 lbs.
