Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary:

The OR RN will provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical environment, supporting patient safety and comfort throughout procedures. This role requires collaboration with surgical teams to ensure efficient operation and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs, anesthesia, and surgical site to detect and respond to complications promptly.
• Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals with surgical instruments and equipment setup.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain sterile field throughout procedures.
• Document patient information, surgical details, and clinical observations accurately in electronic health records.
• Foster a safe, compassionate, and professional environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 3+ years of operating room nursing experience.
• Possess valid South Carolina or Compact RN license prior to start date.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in perioperative nursing techniques and patient management.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced surgical settings.
• Show commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous professional development.
