American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a day shift assignment requiring SC or compact RN license and 2+ years of OR experience.

• Acute care hospital setting with 119 staffed beds
• Works in the Operating Room performing general OR surgical support
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (6:45am-3:15pm)
• Weekend coverage required, typically every 4th weekend
• On-call required on a rotating basis, weekday call hours 3pm-7am
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs across like units/sister facilities
• Uses Epic for charting
• Surgical scrubs provided

• Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with a range of surgical specialties including gynecology, orthopedics, general surgery, neurology, urology, podiatry, ophthalmology, and trauma procedures
• Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and Hana Table preferred

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide variety of surgical specialties
• During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius to be prioritized for consideration; local candidates considered case-by-case
• Previous MUSC staff (including PRN) must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront and is subject to facility approval
