Millwright General Foreman in Cameron, LA
Full Time – Cameron, LA, US. 9‑month or longer assignment, 6‑10 shift schedule with per diem for >60 miles.
Graywolf is a heavy industrial/commercial construction contractor that provides end‑to‑end solutions from design, fabrication, construction, and facility management nationwide.
Responsibilities- Promote safety and work safely around construction hazards.
- Plan, coordinate, and/or supervise construction activities of crews.
- Thoroughly review contract and all available scope documents, drawings, specifications, and shop estimates.
- Study project execution and tracking documents including the project execution plan, project safety plan, OC plan, schedule, man‑loading projections, equipment rental schedule, cost breakdown and codes, installed quality and labor tracking plan, and subcontracting strategy.
- Ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
- Interact with Superintendent to ensure all company, client, and project policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Interface with all project team members to establish project schedules and resolve scheduling problems.
- Ensure that materials, drawings, manpower, specifications, tools, consumables, and equipment are available when needed.
- Provide prioritized work activity instructions to all craftsmen and monitor their progress.
- Assist with the implementation/interpretation of safety programs.
- Mentor craft personnel for professional development.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of local, slate and federal statutes and guidelines.
- Miscellaneous duties as directed.
- Four (6) years of experience in craft; one (1) year as Foreman or higher in industrial construction setting.
- Familiar with construction methods, techniques, and labor requirements for industrial projects; ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors, and craft employees.
- Possess excellent leadership skills and ability to manage craft employees; hands‑on job foreman experience.
- Completion of safety‑related certifications such as OSHA 10 or safety council programs as required by company and/or client.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have locking tool box and necessary tools to perform the job.
- Must be able to successfully complete all required pre‑hire requirements.
- Lift and carry heavy items up to 45 pounds.
- Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas; full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.
- Work up to a 12‑hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outdoor conditions.
- Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
- Work at heights with fall protection; work from manlifts, baskets, JLGs, etc.
- PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required.
