Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Infection Control Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Crossroads Correctional Center located in Cameron, Missouri.
The Infection Control Nurse (LPN) is responsible for performing a variety of duties involving the prevention and control of infectious diseases. The Infection Control Nurse will coordinate the collecting, interpreting, and reporting of data; assist in the development of care plans for patients with infectious diseases; and will serve as a consultant to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking, and reporting of patients identified with infectious disease.
Qualifications- Missouri or Compact Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
- Must be IV certified
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
- 1 to 3 years’ experience providing nursing care in a public health environment, long term care or acute care setting with focus on infection prevention and control
- Must show current tuberculosis screening documentation and active Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required
- Experience in correctional environment preferred
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Days, 8:00am-4:30pm, 5-8s and rotating weekends
