Tech Advisor Broiler

Overview

This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to producers caring for company’s birds in regards to proper care and comfort. Duties include advising producers on building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation; conducting farm visits to document bird comfort and manage flock and equipment settings; monitoring bird health and providing remedies when possible; monitoring feed consumption and ordering feed;

pulling blood and fat samples on time; coordinating chick placements and ensuring communication with hatchery, feedmill, and livehaul; ensuring compliance with production contracts; and ensuring USDA and other government regulations when handling poultry.

• Advising producers on building and equipment specifications, litter manipulation, and farm sanitation
• Conducting farm visits to document bird comfort and manage flock and equipment settings
• Monitoring bird health and providing remedies when possible
• Monitoring feed consumption and ordering feed as necessary
• Pulling blood and/or fat samples on time when required
• Coordinating chick placements and ensuring communication between hatchery, feedmill, livehaul, and contract farms
• Ensuring compliance with production contracts, USDA, and other regulations

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
• 1+ years of relevant experience
• Elementary computer skills (checking e‑mail, entering data, basic queries)
• Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year
