Administrative Support Specialist
Starting at $16.50 per hour
ON-SITE
The Administrative Support Specialist will provide support to the both the central business office and hospital staff by filling all records requests in regards to outstanding accounts receivables.
Responsibilities- Inventory, review, follow-up, and respond to all medical records and itemized bill requests as required for payment.
- Send out priority mail for the department and document the tracking information for our records.
- Compile information for patient and insurance refund packets.
- Communicate with facilities and/or patients regarding additional information needed for payment of claims.
- Document in the Medhost system all verbal and written activities relative to that account.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of customer service experience – Retail/Hospitality/Banking/Healthcare
Preferred:
- Knowledge of indemnity insurance practices, contracts and managed care ideal.
- Computer Skills
- Microsoft Office:
Outlook, Word, and Excel. - Ability to work with multiple programs simultaneously.
- Good interpersonal skills including: face-to-face, verbal, electronic, and telephonic.

- Good time management skills in order to meet deadlines.

- This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management
- Previous experience in metrics based role, where production/quality standards are upheld.
